Roots 2019-2020 is a multi-layered work of art involving intertwined chaotic shapes representing a difficult pathway, yet signifying movement and growth; it considers how we are bound together in multi-dimensional relationships as we strive to find a way forward.
Roots comprises two parts: an installation and photographs. The viewer becomes immersed in and surrounded by a pathway of many roots – made from my repurposed paintings. Photographs take the viewer to places where the roots are shown in various relatable settings.
