Woven Works 2019-2021 are made from my re-purposed finished paintings. My paintings have been deconstructed by hand cutting them into strips and weaving them together. No longer is the emphasis purely on the painted surface, but now the canvas itself is an integral part of a more complex work that plays with light, colour and form.
Small Woven Works 2020-2021 are mounted on acid free board and framed in a shadow box enabling the three-dimensional weaving to be seen.
