The Iceberg Project 2012explores my personal interpretation and representation of an iceberg. My intention was to place the viewer within my artistic vision, and to express the reality of the threat of climate change to the planet.

The Iceberg Project was seen over three consecutive years at Nuit Blanche held in Ottawa. The sculpture was made up of over 250 translucent painted Mylar three-dimensional ‘pyramids’ of varying sizes. Each year less and less ‘pyramids’ where shown until the wire structure became almost empty. The sculpture was placed at the entrance of a building and as the viewer came closer and walked beneath it they experienced the sound of melting ice. The Iceberg Project is meant to remind the viewer of the beauty and power of nature and of the impending losses in our environment due to climate change.
